Hello everyone!
I've had my female Betta about 5 months, and three days ago she began acting strangely. She started swimming on her side and looked like she was having difficulty finding her food. It quickly progressed into her swimming completely upside down, and she is very bloated around her gills.I put in the correct amount of aquarium salt and have been giving the prescribed dose of Melafix: Treats Bacterial Infections every days.
The lovely girl at Petsmart says it's a tumor, and while I trust her I wanted to have a second opinion. See if there's ANYTHING I can do. I know it sounds silly but my mama and I have been crying about her.
She swims VERY vigorously, but can't seem to find her food while upside down. And she has reverted to her side or even a normal position some times. I was told the little white dot on her is her sex gland protruding, and not fungus.
Sorry the picture quality stinks - it's my phone's camera
