Tumbleweed In Tank?

Hello, I was wondering if i could strip down a tumbleweed a and use it in my tank for structure? I am talking about stripping it down to the main stems. Anyone know if this would be ok?

Dry it very well first or it will only rot underwater

As long as it doesnt mold, or rot and doesnt bring in nasty parasites your ok.
