Well, since i'm thinking my tetras wont get over the Ich infection, i'll soon need new friend for my tank.

Any suggestions on tough fish. My 4 dwarf rainbows seem pretty tough, they weathered the ICH with not problem.

Are cory tough/resistant to ICH and other disease? Danios? :dunno:

Kinda really depends, some fish you can get nice ,and hardy, some are weak, and prone to disease. Danios are very hardy, Ive never had one die.

Mmmh, Bettas ARE very tuff fish, and extremly beautyful- BUT you can only put one in the Tank- since it will kill other Bettas, male and female alike! You could put other smaller fish in it with him, also Ghost-Shrimp and Snails- anything that's smaller then the Betta and doesn't have big finns like himself are fine!

Bettas are VERY hardy. One to a tank, but females could live in a tank together with lots of hiding places and AT LEAST four of them to spread aggression.

I've heard zebra danios are supposed to be pretty indestructible.
My lfs even recommended that I use them for a fishless cycle (which I did NOT DO), but they said the chances of killing them are pretty slim to none.

I'd definately reccommend zebra danio's, one of the best species for cycling tanks etc.

plecos are tough as they come, just keep em wet and they are happy.
Definitely...we've transported one in a bucket for an 8 hour move and he's still going strong 5 years later!

Yes plecos are tough but most also grow mighty big as well.

I see you already have tetras and are unsure whether or not they'll make it? What kind of tetras do you have?

My black skirt tetras lived through the cycling of my first tank and are still going strong today. I lost so many fish to ich, fin rot, fungus and popeye. The tetras never became ill.

They were red phantom tetras (pretty young)

4 out of 5 were killed by an ICH infection

i have it on good authority (inchworm) that cories are extremely unlikely to get ich. cory cats are very cute and love to school, so go on ahead and get 4 or 5.

There are plenty plecos that stay small. I just dont like them because they are messy. Zebra danios are extremly hardy.
