OK, try this again.
I bought (on impulse) a large piece of tufa rock which I was intending to put in my molly tank. I soaked it but the more I soaked it, the more bits fell off it
Anyway, now it's relatively stable and I was thinking about putting it in my mollies tank but then I suddenly had a thought about the pH. I know mollies can cope with fairly hard water, but what about the guppies? The pH coming out of the tap is about pH8.5 - 9, and I don't do anything to modify it (KH and GH off the scale, at least 24+), so theoretically, a bit of tufa's not going to make that much difference (is that right? ).
What do I do with it, or was this a mistake?
P.S. Anyone want a lump of tufa rock? It's going cheap!
