Hi Everyone,
I bought a tufa rock for my molly tank and I've been soaking it in a bucket, but every time I change the water another bit seems to crumble off the rock! I'm a bit fed up because it cost 7 pounds sterling and I think I was done - I should have asked them to weigh it after all the bits dropped off. It would have cost less.
What I'd really like is some of that grey, volcanic rock that I've seen in some people's tanks. I believed tufa was basically the same stuff, but this lump of crumbly chalk is anything like I'd expected.
Am I doing something wrong here, or is it simply the wrong rock for the job?
