Tubifex Worms

:D :D LOL i thought it was just me! hehehehehehehe..... :D :D Well i got sick of pushing and pushing and my arms started to hurt, so what i do is.....Get a veggie clip, and put the cube in that then stick to the side of the tank. I have silver sharks and even when i did end up getting the cube to stick a little bit, they are soo big and rough that it would come off the glass as soon as they took a bite. So the veggie clip method works GREAT! for me! :) :) :) :)

EDIT: I see you have a bala too!

yes very! except watch out cause they will eat all the worms themselves and not leave any for anybody else! LOL little piggies.....I had to buy three clips so each bala could have their own and then everyone else could share the third!

I can't do it either!! Glad I am not the only one.

Where do I get these veggie clips people speak of? My lfs do not have a marine section so where can I get one? Anyone in the UK willing to post one or 2?

:)

Maybe I have some freakazoid tubifex cubes, but mine actually do stick to the tank wall. :fun:

But as you say, when one of my bigger tetras gets to it (and it never takes longer than a couple of seconds), he/she tears it apart and it explodes like a big tubifex pinata. They go everywhere. The aquarium looks like one of those snow globes after a good shake. The fish go bananas over it though. It's very entertaining to watch.

pendragon!

I have always had them stick fine for me.... The trick is to let them get just a little wet (a couple of seconds held under water) then try to stick them, as when theyre dry they dont stick very well.....

Mine have never stuck either. I try to stick them on the side, but they just end up in a free float.

I just fed my goldfish some and the largest grabbed one in his mouth and swam around for at least a minute. I thought it was stuck on him. I almost put my hand in there to "free" him. Another fish took a bite and swipped it from him. Immediately, the big goldie grabbed it right back. My, they are fun to watch!

Here's a LINK. Though, I don't know if Petco ships to the UK.

I wet mine and they didn't stick either. The people at Petsmart said that you're supposed to squish them against the glass to make them break apart. :dunno:

It doesn't say in the instructions that they're supposed to fit, but I was under the impression that they were...

I just toss mine in the tank and let the fish go at them, the fish don't seem to mind and it's fun to watch em chase it around. :D

I gave up trying to keep those cubes stuck on the side of the tanks. Believe me if your fish are hungry they will find the food source! It's hilarious watching the littlest,my dwarf african frogs-to my biggest,my pleco all hovering at the top! I have a 30 gal. high cory tank also and even those guys will make the swim for goodies. All my skunk corys have to do is see me standing in front of the tank!

I bought some tubifex cubes today and I've had no problem in sticking them to the glass...

I don't know why I bothered though, every single fish is totally ignoring them. :/

Lots of fish don't seem to go for them. I'm not sure why they go for the flakes but not dired foods. Anyone know?

By the way, I got mine to stick for 3 seconds. I was so happy when it happened but it fell off when I looked back up.
