hi i am getting a tank about 240gal i would like some catfish as like em and do like the tsc but what size tank is right for these and what could i put with em would like a red tail shark be ok with em.as doing alot of research befor doing anything.any info would be cool thankyou al

What does TSC stand for?
A group of lima shovelnoses would look great in there aslong is its a long not tall tank.

tiger shovelnose catfish.the tank is 50 cm deep 55 cm high thanks for the instant reply

Oh sorry. I thought it could have been them but its normally TSN but fair enough. Since tiger shovelnoses can get to 4' i would say no. They need a min tank of 16x8x8' IMO. A group of lima shovelnoses would be a better option as they only get to about 16"

No a Tiger Shovelnose (Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum) would easily outgrow even the 240G, More suitable options would be a Sorubim Lima or a Merodontotus Tigrinus or Brachyplatystoma juruensis

Merodontotus Tigrinus or Brachyplatystoma juruensis loved these two would they be ok together and with other catfish mayb bit smaller then them also with red tail tigers sharks ?

red tailed sharks would be eaten, tankmates need to be big, (8"+) to survive with these,

The two are closely related so would probably show some aggression towards each other, so probably best to just stick to the one. Tigs are a real collectors fish and can cost upwards of £300 so may not be an option

for starting out on cats what cats would u suggest and what other fish to go with em?
