Trumpet Snails

Would it be pointless to have trumpet snails in a tank that doesn't have sand? Will they be in the substrate if it is gravel? I am interested in these little fellas, but I only have gravel in my 2 tanks.

i don't think they mind, they can still burrow in gravel, as long as the pieces aren't too big

I have a few rumpet snails in my gravel and I don't have any sand tanks currently. I got mine from a doctor's waiting room tank, which was also gravel. He said they came with his plants, and they seem to be doing well.

Mine are loving it in gravel and they are breeding and i have lots of babies !!

I have gravel in both of my tanks and the trumpet snails are multiplying like crazy.
