True Turbo Snails

Hi,
I have been keeping Astrea snails in my Nano to date and have just purchased 2 Turbo snails, so just to confirm...Can Turbo snails right themselves after a tumble and do not die if left upturned like the Astreas.

I read once that there are snails caught from areas with seagrass and others from areas with rocks.

The ones caught from areas with seagrass would have problems to right up themselves without dense seagrass around.

From experience I can only say that I bought once two Astrea snails. The smaller one started this fallover game after two days and further three days later it was dead (my only marine loss so far).

I don't know if it was the guy from the LFS who was obviously in a hurry or if it was me or anything else but the snail had developed a red spot near the head when it started to fall over.

The other Astrea snail climbs even around the powerheads and never fell over in more than half a year, now.

Yes, True Turbo snails can right themselves.
