Trouble Logging On To Live Chat

Why is it that when I try to log on to Live Chat..the java starts loading but then a red X appears on the upper left hand corner?

What is going on and when will this problem be fixed?

Old version of the JRE? (Java runtime environment)

I upgraded my Java a week or two back, but the link from the board still does not work for me, I get a Java error. I don't use it anyhow, if I go in there, I use Trillian.
