Trouble Changing My Avatar

i am trying to change my avatar but for some reason it wont display the new one. I think i've uploaded it correctly and the size was accepted but it still display my betta.

Does it take time to change? I tried changing it about an hour ago........

Please help


Edit: when i go into my control panel it shows my "current avatar" as my cat but in the forum posts I still show my betta

When I looked at your profile, the betta shows as your avatar and the cat as your member photo. Others have had that problem. Try logging out and then back in. That usually seems to work.

I tried logging/in/out but it didnt work.

I made the cat my "member profile" pic to see if that would help but it didnt.

When I go to "edit avatar settings" I see under 'your current avatar' the pic of my cat then underneath it says Uploaded File 120x96... is that too big? maybe thats the problem.

Edit: I also tried removing the current one and then re adding the new one but the betta is still there

It will let me remove the betta so i have no avatar but when i go to upload a pic from my files i pick my cat and it shows the correct pic on the control center but when i go to my profile it shows the betta grrrrrrrrrr

Max file size is 120x120 and 21k so you would appear to be ok unless the file is larger than 21k. Are you trying to upload it from your computer or from a hosting site like Photobucket? I'm not certain if uploading directly from the computer will work or not. If you aren't using a hosting site, try uploading the image there and then placing the link in as your avatar.

i was trying to upload it from my pc like i did with the one thats there now

I did try to use a pic from my photobucket to see if that would work but I couldnt figure out how to do it and which link to use.

Hi Just_Another_One

It does the same thing to me when I change avatars. I've waited for hours for it to appear as changed, and finally gave up, and then the next day I turn on the computer, and there it is. Go figure.

it takes about 3-6 hours for it to change

I tried changing it last night by the 'upload from your computer' option but it never worked- i waited about 18 hours lol

I figured out how to do it with a photobucket link and it looks like its worked finally Strange that it wouldnt allow me to upload from my files ???

If you have the problem again, try ctrl+f5. Should completely reload the page.
