My new sick little man looks like he's having a real hard time breathing, his gills are flapping like crazy... What can I do to help him??

Lower the water level or include plants/caves close to the surface so that he can beach himself on them, and he doesn't have far to swim to get to the surface.

Include aquarium salt in the water.

Use Blackwater Extract or Indian Almond Leaves if you can find any.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything that would help offhand.

Just asking, but what tailtype is Skylar? I have one of them at home. Is he a VT?

Anyway, put something that goes up to near the waterline so he won't need much effort to go up there, and he can beach himself there too.

I thought 100% water changes should be done every week or so? I change my betta's water every week.. Might be the frequent watch changes that's stressing him.

Skylar is a VT. :)

I've been doing 100% water changes for this guy because he's very sick... I just saved him from the pet store last night, hopeing he will get better.
