FIRSTLY
These fish are NOT for collection yet. I'm moving country but will only look to sell and re-home them shortly before I move (20 July) - so about 8 - 9 weeks from now. But I'm advertising now already because I want to line up the best possible home(s) for them.
I will NOT let these fish to go to just anyone and this is NOT a "first come, first served" situation. If I could, I'd move these fish with me, but I can't.
I will NOT let these fish go to any tank that's less than a year old or a crazy heavy stocked tank. Some of these fish I've had for as long as 7 years and I've looked after them extremely well (the whiptail is 7 years old and the rest between 3 and 4 years old at least). I'm not about to let them go to a lesser home to simply die in unsuitable conditions.

Viewing beforehand welcome.

4 x Red Rainbow - large mature males (stunning)

1 x Boesmani Rainbow - medium sized but mature male (stunning and bright colours)

1 x Angel Fish - EXTREMELY special home needed in a quiet tank. Black & white marble. Only has one eye and cannot ever be homed with any other Cichlids as I think it carries HITH. Swims a little wonky (because it's trying to tilt itself to see better with only the one eye). Been like this for over a year now and copes fine.

1 x common Whiptail cat - female, 7 years old. Special home wanted

3 x Botia Kubotai (Polkadot Loach) - mature & gorgeous

8 or 9 x Dwarf Chain Loaches (Yasuhikotakia-Sidthimunki) - mature & simply gorgeous (pending to Mermaid Mel)

2 x L260 (Queen Arabesque plec) - sex unknown but I think they might be female. Mature & stunning (pending to Mermaid Mel)

3 x L144 (Golden Bristlenose plec with black eyes) - stunning mature females. Constantly laying eggs. Sadly the male died. If you can find a male you won't be able to keep up with baby production! The fry will never survive in a communal tank though so separate (mature) breed set-up required.

A few surviving Cardina japonica (algae shrimp)

I would love to be giving the option to house the following... the angel fish will be giving a home in my 3ft viv, along with a small syno catfish, glowlight, lamp eye and danios, and a red robin gourmai..
I would like to give the bristlenose pleco a home within the family 4ft bow front tank - one big commn suker fish, a gourami, some rummynoses and thats all (currently looking to restock the tank)
And my girlfriend would love to have the rainbows and the polka dot loach in her 3ft bow front tank - hosing a syno cat (larger then mine) pair of mature opline gorumais, and a few odd tetras (again needs to be re-stocked)

Even if i dont get them i hope that they find a loving and great home

kieren :D

Hi Kieren

That certainly sound like a possible home for some of them. Though to be honest, I'd far prefer them to go into a tank that isn't going to be re-stocked and fiddled with (for I don't want my own fish to go the same way when they get tired of). I'd prefer them to go to a stable tank which someone is already happy with and simply want to add a few fish (if space comfortably allows).

Where are both of you based?

How much would you be asking for your L260s and Dwarf Chain Loaches?

sorry should of stated them better, im not getting ride of any of the fish currently in the tanks, we will just be adding to the tanks (adding new fish like small tetras etc)

we are both based in hamworthy (dorset)

Hi Mel,
I'm so out of touch with fish prices, I wouldn't really know what to say. As my tank has been so nice and stable for so long, I haven't bought anything in a long time and am completely out of touch with how much they cost.
It's far more important that they have an excellent home and I know they'd have that with you :good:

So just let me know whatever you think is fair and that's good with me (in this instance).
Then we can take it to PM to sort out a collection date (or I might even be able to get them to you if you struggle with transport and don't live too far).

What a beautiful part of the UK :good:
Mmm, it's quite a way to drive. The Angel for one wouldn't take such a journey well I think (sadly) - but sounds like an ideal home for it.
Would you mind if I see if I get any other offers, and if nothing more suitable/closer comes up, I'll let you know.

Thank you Bloo. I would obviously like a good deal without robbing you so if you could make the first move regarding price, I would feel more comfortable.
How old are the L260s? When are they likely to be ready?
I'm over the North East side of London (nearer to Enfield) so if you would be happy to meet me half way somewhere, that could work for us both, thanks for the offer :good:

OK no probs. I've had a quick look at the prices on "Wholesale Tropicals" website (where I got all of this lot).
The L260's I got as tiny juvi's about 3 years ago and I'm "pretty" sure they're females. They have a very few interopercular odontes and it's not very long. They're certainly of breeding age. They sell for £20 as juvi so how about £10 each?

The loaches I got as extremely tiny juvi's too about 3 years ago (difficult to count them as I have so much wood in the tank!) and they're mega fast. They go for £7 so would £3 each be OK?

Let me know how that sounds.

I'll actually be coming your way some time in July to visit a friend in your area (not sure which day yet), but if timings work for you, I could bring them up. I'd prefer to enjoy their company for as long as I still can, so wouldn't really want to start breaking down the tank until mid July.

Hiya Bloo I would be happy to pay those prices, they are very good
I have been researching the dwarf chain loaches, I have cichlids, small ones mind you, would they be ok together? Also, they have been reported to bully cories, would that be a problem, I have 5 cories?

Great! I used to keep these loaches in my planted tank with about 6 Sterbai and in my case I have to say they completely ignored each other. So can't see that as being an issue at all. I love these little loaches - they're incredibly active and always darting around all over the place. So again can't see this being an issue with the chichlids.

I'm happy to keep these aside for you and will be in touch with you in about 6 weeks to arrange a date if that's OK?

Sure no worries at all, if you can't sell your Boesemani I would take him for you as well x
