I saw this here the other day, maybe a good source to try.http://www.aquabid.com/ I personally have not used them myself. I would if they find me a blue eyed pleco!

Sorry I should have said that I live in the Uk. I can find heaps of USA sites but few UK :( Good luck with your blue eye pleco hunt!

I don't know if they have the exact puffer you want, but have you looked at these sites:

www.trimar.co.uk
www.tropicalfishfinder.co.uk (choose the tropical fish 2 your door option)

my local pet shop stock dwarf puffer fish if that is any help

Natural World have it in stock for £4.75 each HERE

Ive been to that site before and ive seen that they have only got the one in stock. I was thinking of buying 3 or 4 for my 20gal. I think its prob best if they all go in together at the same time to sort there territory out. Or it dosnt matter?

Have you ever kept Puffer Fish before?

If not have you read the sticky on them. They may look cute but are rather aggressive fish, you will need a stock of snails and other meaty crunchy foods to feed them on, and more importantly a well cycled/mature tank. They fish do not do well in a newly setup tank.

No I havent kept puffer fish before. I have done a lot of research on the internet about them and there requirements. Im half way through cycling the tank at the moment. And im only interested in keeping them in a species tank. Also I have a few snails breeding in one of my other tanks, that will save me some money on food. Was also going to feed them on blood worms. Are you keeping dwarf puffers at the moment? or have anymore advice?

Not Dwarfs, but ive kept T Turgidus, C. Salivator and currently keep T. Biocellatus Puffers. They are all very similar in that they need stimulation to stop them from becoming bored and pacing, a heavily planted tank, lots to explore etc. A variety of food, Bloodworm should be a treat and not a stable diet. My Puffers get brineshrimp, bloodworm, daphnie, prawns, sandeels a large selection.

Ok great. Would you recomend adding them all at the same time or its not going to be a prob if I can only find 1 or 2 at a time (which seems to be the case at the moment) Also frozen or live food? thanks

As with all Puffers if you are going to get them, get them all at the one go. If you try to add a new fish later its likely the others will attack it. Having said that, there is no guarentee you will get any that will tolerate each other, there is still a chance they will all just fight. The best method to stop this is dense planting....this will break up sight lines.

Food, both frozen and live.

Great thanks for your help and answering my questions. :good:
