Hi guys,

Has anyone ordered any plants from www.tropical-aquarium-plants.co.uk ?!?

I've seen some of their collections on Ebay, and wondered if anyone can give any feedback as to the quality of the plants etc.

They do a mixture of 100 plants for £19 + £2 p&p, which seems very reasonable to me !!

hi andy - i noticed you were in derby - same as me!

not sure if you know but a place called berkley aquatics near barton under needwood are extreemly good. they have plants (not many species) at all times, its a little hit and miss occasionaly but when they re-stock they have some crackers, best i've seen.

most types of vallis, cabomba, riccia, ludwigia - all the common ones but the amount you get for a 50p / £1 bunch is excellent.

ive ordered some from her yesterday so not sure of quality yet but i know someone who orders quite a few from her and he says theyre good.

incase you didnt know though you get stems not actual plants.

so like when you go to places and you get an actualy potted little plant for a quid it probably works out at same price? im not sure.

ive used greenline, i've got mixed opinions on them. i think it varies depending on what plants you order.

a lot of people on here use greenline and find them extreemly good though. they are efficient and well wrapped when you get them.

never had any of them on ebay i use greenline and always found them perfect

Might go for one of their collections......

I've got a 4'6" and a 3', so I think I might just go for their 4" Collection... Should be plenty to get me started !!!

i got mine from tropical- aquarium - plants.co.uk

theyre really good.

i got 5 huge pieces of salvinia for £1.50 and lots 10 pieces of java fern for i think £1 per 5

I've used greenlone in the past

I was on the phone to the guy for about 30 mins at 10:00 at night when i placed my order - the advise was spot on

(forget plants - get the 333's and worry about plants later !!

i have got a few plants off them Mainly Giant Vallis and i got better than i thought ordered 10 and i thought i would get 10 big ones as i order but ones i got where to tall for my 22" High tank had to cut about a 6" off them and all came well packed and in good condition was 100% happy

How many plants would I need for a 34x18x20" tank ?

An advert on EBay says 55 plants for a 3 foot tank, which sounds way too crowded. The Ebay user ID of the seller is wayne_sadler, has anyone had any plants from him ? Were they OK ?

i got mine from Nannys Petals, very good all my plants are doing very well....

When I got my new 3ft tank I used nannyspetals on ebay as well. Managed to get a large variety of plants at a really good price, especially if you consider how many you need to make a large tank look nice, and how much it would have cost if I had gone to the fish shop.
