Hey there....Ever since i've had this guy hes had had white on the tips of his fins ( seepic)...I never treated him with anything and it hasnt spread and doesnt seem to affect him in anyways...hes in a 2.5gal bowl and i do small partial water changes everyother day and a 50% change when i do my big tanks weekly.

Sooo is the white normal on him...and if not i need to know what next ¿?

Yep, thats normal, just his colouring :)

Oooh, actually, just had a closer look at the pics... Do you mean the tiny bit of white on his anal fin? Cos that looks like a bit of fin rot maybe?? But if he's had it since you've had him it could just be from damage thats grown back! The white on his other fins (ventrals?? The long ones lol) are normal! :D

Looking at his fins the ends seem to be a bit ragged...but they were always like that when i got him....I've had him for about 4 months now and its never gotten any worse...but never better...He was in poor conditions when i got him.

Yes that is perfectly normal. My red betta Dumbass has the same white rays, always has. I think they look good actually.

(oops I made the same mistake as the other person who responded, I didn't look at the tip I was looking at the rays. If it hasn't gotten worse I'd say it's OK though. The color is natural and the frayed endges are probably a minor defect is all)

Looks to me like he's shredding them up a tad bit cuz he might be a guy who likes to drag his fins across the bottom of the tank.

Try taking the gravel out of his tank for a week and see if it improves. My guess is that it will.

He probably had a bit of damage then.. It looks like the ends of the fins are clear.. My betta had some major fin damage and the ends are growing through clear... so that would be my guess..

I like good news...I have sand/gravel...i just threw the gravel in there because it was from an established tank, but i'll take it out and give that a whirl. I'm glad the white is normal.

I salute you oh betta masters!

I'd say that does look like old damage, not anything caused recently.. :/ But, just keep his water nice and clean and keep an eye on him and im sure he'll be fine :)

Nice betta
