Trip To Thailand

8) on 24th april i am going to thailand for a holiday.two things i am definetly going to do is watch the muay thai on friday nights and watch the betta fighting.fighting bettas is a national sport in thailand,regardless of what you think about it,this is where these fish originated from.
these guys train and condition their fish for fighting and have even created a thorough bred betta which is what i want to see.apparently they are more aggressive etc..but i would like to see what they look like.i will tell you all of my experience and how i feel about it once i have seen it with my own eyes.but i think it will go a long way to deepening my understanding of bettas.i know my experiences working with the animal welfare group and seeing the dogs that have been fought deepened my bond with my own APBT.
both these animals have fighting historys that have impacted on the species today.right or wrong its made them who they are.

If you are planning to spend some time in Bangkok, check out the BIG weekend market- I forget what it's called. They sell everything from clothes to knicknacks and they have the craziest pet section, with baby birds and thousands of fish. On both my trips to Thailand I've been, it's one of my favorite things there.

Where in Thailand are you going ? Betta fighting is popular in the Provinces especially in Samutprakarn

Try to visit Chatuchak and you can find a lot of nice fishes you want


then go to the Philippines and visit me lol
