Just been doing a little maintenance in the Orca and I noticed my blue sponge is starting to grow across the neighbouring rocks. I would like to maybe trim it down a little bit so it doesn't take over the tank and wondered if it was ok to cut bits off!

The sponge started off as a frag which was torn from the main body when I bought some xenia which was on the same rock and it has obviously survived that trauma and flourished.
This probably answers my own question but just want to make sure that doing something like this won't cause it to nuke the tank or something.

It would be good to use the opportunity to frag a bit and put it into the D&D 24gal perhaps.

Cheers
