Trimmed Monte Carlo right down (pics)

After my post the other day about the browning Monte Carlo I’ve decided to cut it right down and see if it starts to rejuvenate some healthy leaves. Here’s a picture of it after the trim.

Also. My hydro tripartita has started to show little signs of browning/yellowing on old leaves. New leaves are bright green but older ones are darker. It’s only been in my tank about a week but I was just wondering is this normal? Here’s a pic of it

That’s normal. The brighter green, is new growth. (This will “fade” over time)
