I'ved recently noticed my large plecs, (sailfin ad L71) in my 25 gallons have a few tears in there fins, my starry night L71 has a bit out of his tail and my sailfin has a bit take out of the dorsal fin.

I'm not too sure on who to accuse though.

My ruby shark is very peaceful, i watched the tanks for about 5 minutes deciding on the most peaceful out of them. he seems to hang out with the clown loach in the back corner.

just wondering for any ideas of who i might remove??

I'm planning on removing the sailfin soon.

also when i am feeding usually 1 of the for mentioned plecs dash up to the surface make a splash then come straight back down and settle again.

Plecos can be quite territorial and inflict the type of damage you described.

Make sure there are several hiding spots per pleco, and lots of food.

Hope that helps a bit,
/Kris

oh right, i did notice a small scrap between my tiny pitbull and adult starry night when i first added him so maybe it's the pitbull bashing them both.

i usually chuck in a few algae waffers most nights and have started to add a few slices of cucumber weekly.

I also add JMC high protein sinking pellets, shall i get someof the Catfish pellets aswell?

I might fiddle some bits around to fit another peice of bogwood in as that seems to be what they hang around.

cheers paul
