Trigon 190 Light Unit

Well just went and bought a new plant bulb for my 190 it's an Arcadia 18W 24" Bulb ...Removed old one ...Put in new one turned them on .....Nothing Absolutly Nada sooo bloody angry removed new bulb put old one back in and still nothing ! Now i'm really angry . So unplugged changed fuse on plug still nothing !

Now i'm really angry wish i had just left it alone ! is there anyway to fix it without having to fork out for a new light unit ? OH says that he's got one fo the ARcadia Ligth unit things up at his house that's meant for a 4ft tube . Will this work ? How do i get into the Ballast in the inside ? There's no visible screws to unattach it

Or is there any other way to fix it ?

Well it all failed misrebly . We even changed the starters over too and still nothing . New bulb does not work at all even tried it in an arcadia light unit and still nothing both old bulbs still work ...Would new bulb have cause it to blow ? Phoned my granda who i got the tank off nearly a year ago and he says he only changed the bulbs once ...In the 5 years he had it !!!

Does anyone know anywhere in scotland i can purchase one today ? Phone ELA thay can order in but wouldn't be there til wed and cupar aquatics there's no answer...Anyone know if P@H stock them ?
