Triggerfish

Hello, I have reef and really like triggers. However, i have always thought that they will consume inverts in a reef tank. Are these limited to hard shelled crustaceans and molluscs?

what kind do you want? my niger hasn't even eaten my peppermint or CBS, but he does eat all the hermits i put in and most of the snails

I really have always liked picasso triggers. But any kind will do. He cant be one to eat my cleanup crew though

sorry to say then, you're gonna be SOL, I can pretty much guarantee any trigger will eat your clean-up crew I'm sure there are a few instances of individual triggers not eating the crew, but by and large they all eat snails and crabs. I had my "original" cleaning crew in there for a while before i threw in my niger, i hoped he might accept them as part of the scenery since they were there first, and maybe they could find spots to hide since they had time to roam the tank. I also got my trigger when he was really small, so i thought that could help too....nope )

My Niger killed my 2 cleaner shrimps, but never aint them. He does`nt bother anything else.. He`s always well fed now so i guess thats why.. but i was well gutted!!

Okay, ill do some more research to try and find one that might be compatible.
