Trigger Fish In A Reef Tank & Other Strange Combinations

I am currently reading a book that has information on how very different reef tanks have been set up.

In quite a few they have various trigger fish living very well in a reef set up. This led me to wonder if anybody had done a similar thing with their tanks or have fish living peacefully with each other that aren`t supposed to be compatable?

Blue throats, pink tails and cross hatch are commonly kept "reef safe" triggers..each of these have their risks though, ie shrimp,crabs, etc will bee a no go...
Ikeep two angels together which many say is risky but have had no problems at all

Not to forget that although there are a couple of supposedly 'reef' safe triggers, you would have to cover any wires/cables that are in the tank as triggers are know for biting threw them

This wiped out scott's 10x3x3 tank earlier this year..trigger bit through a heater cable while he was on hols

All the more reason to use sumps

Lots of people claim success keeping Niger Triggers in reef aquaria.

Have a customer with a huge tank that doesnt seem to understand the meaning of "no seriously... it really isnt reef safe!!" and just to spite me has had most un reefsafe species in his very much reef tank. The only one that failed was his Passer Angel and thats because it was harassing other fish, didnt touch a thing!

This guy has some amazing corals in his tank! Along with his shrimps of all species (the dancing/camel shrimp that i have seen stepping on corals and killing them) included.. and lots of dwarf angels (lemonpeel, flame, coral beauty) and i know he had a blue faced angel at some point and a queen or maybe it was a scribbled angel actually! He goes out of his way to push his luck with 'unreefsafe' fish.

why cant some fish be in reef tanks? is it simply just cause of the fact that they will ruin it, or will they die or what?

they eat the inverts and corals
