I was planning on using a 24x12x12 tank i have for freshwater as my sump but I'ved realised that recently I'ved been using ICH treatments in there which would of contained copper.

can i treat the tank in anyway to make it safe for my reef again?

reseal the bugger if its glass, wash the sides really well with vinegar too, if its plastic I doubt any would have penitrated but it would be a good idea to rinse it very very very veyr very very well, maybe drop it in a pond for a few weeks with a powerhead inside of it to exchange water, a wee bit of copper meds wont hurt te pond but could make your marine tank lethargic

hmmmm think i'll just buy a new one for what it's worth.

all that hassle for something that could still cause problems isn't really worth it for £20.

cheers.
