Hi tommorow afternoon I will be moving a 10 inch red ear slider turtle. It is only a 15 minute drive and it will be in a car. I have a large stoyrofoam box that I got from when I got fish shipped to me that I was thinking I could use. If I line the box with warm damp paper towels and mist the turtle every couple of minutes, will it work safely? I do have a cover for the box but I don't think it will allow enough air to pass through. if you are familiar with these boxes, do you think it will be safe? Can anyone reccomend a safer way? Thanks

I would just put him in a plastic container that he can't see out of with some water up to his chin. Someone else might not think so but its only 15 minutes so it won't kill him.

scout is right just put some water in a big enough tub cover it up and ull be fine TBH you dont acually need the water its just easyer 4 the turtle if ya do. rember turtles bathe out of water alot for lobgr periods of ime thme 15mins :p :D
