if you can, try to use as much of the original substrate as you can, Are you going to be using the same filter? if you are this will help reduce the cycle spikes.
Try to keep at least half of the old tank water if you can and top up with warmed dechlorinated water. This way it is the same as a 50% water change and you can add your fish straight away.
Keep a check on your water parameters and cut down on feeding slightly for about a month
I posted a topic on this and I have been posting every day what I did.....it should be on the first pages of posts or maybe the second. You should take a look It will at least give you an idea of what I've done to move some of my fish into a new tank!!

Are you moving far, or just into another room or somethingt??
If moving to another room you wouldn't need a filter or heater if you do it within 5 -15 minutes. Any longer and you may need a heater, but not the filter. But if you were moving an hour or longer away or thought they'd be in the container, bucket, hospital tank, etc. for longer than an hour then ya you'd need the filter too!
