My mum and dad are moving house, but their new house doesn't have enough room for the tank.

So, would it be ok to put these fish into a pond (their next door neighbours)? or would the shock kill them?

I would have them, but I don't think I will have enough room to have a resonable sized tank for them.

Thanks for any help.

They should be fine as long as you adjust them first and the pond is deep enough for them to over winter.

I recently released my goldfish fry from my indoor tank to the pond.

Bag them up as if you bought them from a shop then just treat them how you normally would-

which would be to let them sit in the pond water for 40mins until the water temperatures should be equal. The gently tip them out the bag!!

Thanks for the replys, I will let my parents know. I was going to get a 10g tank and keep them, but realised that this would of been too small for them!

Thanks for the help.

Does the new pond have any fish in it?
Do they fill the pond from the hose, and is it chlorinated?
Make sure to dechlorinate if necessary!
