I've been thinking about getting a Trachycorystes trachycorystes but heard that it is highly aggressive and will kill smaller fish. I've kept several in the woodcat family, but have never known them to be aggressive, just pigs. I have a sturio, two gulpers, and two Ageneious marmoratus in the tank it would go in. Does anyone have any experience with them or think that this set up would be dangerous?

I've not kept one yet, they always seem to come up when i've got no money or something else i want more is in the shop at the same time, i WILL get the next one that i see.

Anyway from what i understand they are, as you have heard, highly aggressive fish that will chase and bite pretty much anything they share a tank with unless the tankmates are substancially larger so mixing them with high dollar fish could be risky.
