Kia Ora all, Hi, during a part of my retirement through illness I started valeting cars, just a hobby relay doing family, friends and others cars. It's also a very chemical intensive job, I didn't charge but most gave me £10 - £20 towards the chemicals which are if they are proper can be expensive. One thing that was excellent and can be passed on here is towels.
Car valeting towels have a specially developed microfibre weave that allows them to absorb a huge amount of water.... I can dry a full saloon with one towel, they will hold gallons of water if you get a good one, although cheaper ones are still pretty good.
I always keep one by me If I'm putting water in or out. Or carrying out maintenance, a big spill just throw one of these on the spill and it's quickly absorbed.
They can be expensive for a large size but well worth it just in case. Good ones are made by companies like "The Rag Company". They really can save you problems, smaller ones are also great for quickly and efficiently drying smaller spills, say from filter maintenance etc... Hope this helps someone. Kia Kaha, Phil.
