Tough girl....grrrr

Just thought I would share a story about my oldest betta and his "new" girlfriend....
So I was just looking at Walter and his gal.....and it seems "she" is beating him up? Ever since I have had Walter, he has been very tame and well mannered, so, he has always had a mate to live with. Well, his old mate, Sophia( ) died a while back, dunno what from....think she was old(no fin damage, no nothing) So, just recently, I think about a week ago....I got Walter (aka Y'lang Y'lang) a new playmate. He was very happy!!! "flare flare flare"
They didn't seem to be having any problems, swimming and playing together...bla bla bla, fish stuff.

However, I am watching them circling one another today, wondering if MAYBE they are, you know "sumpin sumpin" BUT NO....she truns a little faster and "ATTACK!!!" Poor Walter He about jumped right outta the tank!!! "sploosh"
So, I guess it looks like I am going to have to seperate the two.....which is too bad, because they looked really nice together....the exact same colors (purple/green/blue) Anyway, hope you liked my betta story!

Reminds me of my old fish, SkyLove [3 1/2 year old female].

Got her a playmate once, a gentle male from a friend. She is really gentle, never hurt a thing in her life.

Second I put this male [Joey] in with her, she literally latched onto his tail fin and wouldn't let go.

I remember sitting here, e-mailing a friend and hearing some splashing noise only to see Joey swimming around like crazy with SkyLove latched onto his tail

Silly girl.


I had to give Joey back, minus some tail fins, and got her some Neons [which she has left alone] instead as playmater.

lol @ inchworm - Guess what though! I have convinced him to get cories. He was all about loaches forever, and wouldn't even look in a cory's direction! Anyways, I made him get some to be pals for my bettas, so now he has like... 10.

My bettas love to watch them. I guess they can't imagine why they all crowd together in their cave.

Can you imagie bettas acting like that? NO WAY!!!!
