Torn Fins

What can I do about slightly torn fins on a male betta? Is there a way to repair them?

How did they get torn? Was it because he got them cut on a rock or plant or is it just there? It could be bacterial fin rot if you don't see any white cottony stuff where it was cut.

No, I think it's been this way since I got him. I was only able to notice it once I moved him out of the one gallon bowl and he had more room to move around. I'm not sure if it's torn, or his fins are supposed to slightly separate there (on the back fin).

Hmm... He might be supposed to those torn fins. I'm not sure though. You might want to check and see if bettas can have torn fins and not be injured or sick.
