Hey there,

I've had this torch coral for going on a year now, and over the last 4 months or so, these Bubbles have formed in the middle of both branches.

They balloon up pretty good size, then something will break the thin "skin" and it will deflate.. collect back up, then balloon out again in a few days.

I'm just wondering if anyone has seen it? knows what is happening? It seems relatively harmless..

i posted info about the tank at his location: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=168816

thanks!

Looks like the coral is expelling its guts. Not a good sign IMO, but Ive really no idea. Have you got Bornemans book called "Coral" (or something similar, having a mental blank) it might shed some light.
