Top Level Fish

My tanks filling up nicely now (with fish and plants lol), but the top level seems a bit bare.

Any recommendations on top level fish?? Marbled hatchetfish look good but i cant find them anywhere. Butterfly fish look too weird for me lol. Any other suggestions on this??

gouramis are nice top level fish, too. what size tank do you have and what other fish are in the tank?

Danios are good top level fish - might not be what you are looking for tho.

hatchet fish are great and seem to me that are not as popular as they used to be also fish stores near me dont seem to be stocking them as often now and i dont hear them mentioned much here on tff , IMO they are great little fish and rearly want to keep some one day .

white cloud mountain minnows, i bought some penguin tetras the other day they seem to stick around the surface

how could i forget about gouramis!?!?!? oops...

if i can find hatchetfish or halfbeaks i would love to get a hold of them, but i have never seen them in a place near me!

I have a 45 us gallon (482x12"x18") and in the tanks just now:

4-5 shrimp
11 dwarf rainbows
1 peaceful rtb shark!
2 east euro rams
2 male swordtails
4 schwartzi corys
and soon to be 50+ malaysian trumpet snails

the tank's half planted half rocky
