Too Overcrowded?

hey guys was just wondering tell me if you think my tank is to overcrowded???

i have...
my tank is 200 liters--54gallons.

-1, large discuss and 3 small discuss
-30, cardinal tetra
-1, Sail fin Plecostomus
-3, Striped Kuhli Loach
-1, 8.5cm clown loach, and also 3 4cm clown loaches.
-2, Pepper Catfish 3cm
-1, albino bristle nose 2-3cm
-20, rummy nose tetras 3.5cm
-2, albino Cory doras.
-and last but not least 2, Siamese flying fox catfish.


----> if you do think my tank is overcrowded what fish do you suggest i get rid of...

100 Litres is 22 IMP Gal, 26 US Gal.


So what size is it? 100L or 55 Gal?

Thats just what I was thinking gaz as mine is 125L which is roughly 33 US gallons

What are your tank meaurements? measure the length, width and height and it will make it easier for people to give opinions

I may be wrong but I always thought discuss should ideally be kept in species only tanks as they can get aggressive as they grow???

Yes it's over crowded but what filtration do u have as this will help

Also the sail fin pleco can grow to 2feet in size!

The sailfin plec and the clown loaches will all get too big for the tank.

What filtration does the tank have?

my filtration does 450litres in one hour...
inside the cartridges it contains 2 biocem pouches and also 1 nitrozorb and ceramic noodles.

I'd agree with this plus I'd be inclined to remove the Discus aswell. Especially with 450lph turn over, thats just over twice an hour.

The filtration isn't really enough for the current tank stock, its only providing just over 2x turnover and the 450L an hour figure will prob be without media unless its an eheim.

I'm surprised your not having lots of trouble with the tank as the BN and sailfin plecs will be huge waste producers.

If you are wanting to keep a plec, keep the BN and rehome the sailfin. they grow way too big for your tank.

Remove the Sailfin, the 4 Discus and the clowns

The bristle nose wont cause you any problems, the fish you need to rehome in particular are the clown loaches and sailfin plec, also possibly the discuss
