Is there any way to burn a plant by giving too many WPG?
Sean
EDIT: Also, does anyone know of any good online stores in Canada that sell flourescent ballasts?

Yes you can. Many aquatic plants naturally come from shaded rain forrest conditions. Their metabolism has evolved to exist in a particular light regime. They generally produce large quantities of chlorophyll and tend to be dark green. utside of that regime, their systems are stressed, and often cave in.

As with fish, each plant species/cultivar has an optimum set of conditions. Provide them, and they thrive, bend them a little and they are okay, bend them a lot, they'll maybe survive, give something totally wrong, they give up.

For Canada, I have been referring people here. Seems an okay place.

Thanks Lateral Line, but I already have that site in my favorites. I looked around on it, and found lights and ballasts, but the cheapest ballast is about $250.00- $260, something that a 13-year old doesn't usually have floating around. I'll probably just buy it from a local electrician or a home improvement store.
