Too many plants

Probably like many starting on a new hobby, I look at YouTube videos and I find a lot of Aquariums plant wise are like mini jungles, quite a few it's very difficult to see the fish, to me minimal is better.

Agee it's over the top some times, to the extent that the fish have hardly any free space. Not a problem for smaller fishes that like to hang out/swim around in the plants but I've seen vids on youtube where they have 3 or 4 angels that have nowhere to go other than a few litres in the middle of a 4 foot tank, because they are walled in by such dense hardscape and planting everywhere else.
