fish nerd
Hi,
In my 400 i have a farlowella, a pair of bristlenose plecs (and at least 3 2cm babies and eggs) and 6 otocinclus. There have been no problems with the fish interacting with each other and they get cucumber to supplement their diet. Eventually as the babies get bigger they will be caught and rehomed. Any future broods will hopefully be raised in a seperate tank.
In my 180 i have 4 hill stream loach. I have read that farlowella and rubbernose plec are found in the same areas as hill stream loach. I have seen a rubbernose plec which i would like to buy.
Here's the questions
will the rubbernose get along with hill stream loach?
would the 180 then be overcrowded with the 4 hillstreams and the rubbernose?
If there are too many algae eaters in the 400 should i move the farlowella to the 180, would this then have too many algae eaters?
I welcome your opinions.
If i have too many algae eaters i will have to give the rubbernose a miss, but he is so cute.
