the new beta tanks that I got have lights on top and it is shooting the temp up to almost 90, how do I keep it down when the plants I am growing need at least 8 hours of light?

maybe your lights are too high of a wattage, anyways, if the tank is too warm you can always try drifting a bag of ice in the tank and letting it melt, just don't pour the ice water into the tank :)

the bulb came with the kit, that is what I don't understand, why would they sell something that is going to cause the water to get too warm.

Thanks for the advice!
