I know that, but had to try... got a little jar of Christmas moss I wanted to highlight, my spider wood, in my nano... the package said perishable, but not "live plants" , and when I received them, they were frozen, I put the hockey puck of them in the nano, just in case ( I've never had Christmas moss, and know nothing about it ), but assume it's dead... I have some Frog bit coming as well, expect that will be the same, so the lil tank will be devoid of green, except the Hoya vines growing out of it, until spring, and warmer temps arrive... fish get shipped over night, plants go ground, and without heat packs, so there is much more time to get exposed to freezing temperatures

I worked at the airport here loading and unloading cargo jets for UPS before I retired . UPS prioritizes different packages based on Next Day Air or 2 Day or 3 Day . If there’s a lot of packages the jet will leave with the Next Day Air while the cans with the other packages sit out on the ramp . Those cans sit out all night until they’re picked up the next morning . FedEx sends another jet and keeps things moving . FedEx has the contract for The US Postal Service and USPS gets hustled right through like you’d never believe . I have never seen a USPS can sit for more than a half hour . If you absolutely need it and want it alive use FedEx and USPS .

yep, my Frog Bit arrived, right off the mail truck. frozen... so, no more plants for me, until spring... only other option, is they do occasionally get some plants at the pet store... I'll have to start looking them over, when ever I go to buy feeders, to see if they ever get either of these...
