Well,

Last night in my new tank I thought to my self that the pump/filter was barely pumping anything out..so out came a few BBQ skewer and I picked out all the algea, and it was greatly improved.

Well today, I added a few fish for my fish-in cycle and it is 'frightening' them, so they hide behind the heater, and I am now thinking to my self, "why the hell did I do that?!"..

Do any of you wonderful people have any suggestions? I have already added a truck load of filter floss and it has slowed it a bit..

Thanks, D.

Hey Declan, im no expert but when i add loads of filter sponge to my juwel it really slows the flow. I had the exact same problem as you when i first got a tank with almost the same filter (might be a size down from yours) and the only thing that slowed the rate for me was when i sent the flow thru loads of plastic plants but i think if you really fill it with sponge it may slow the rate a bit.

Thanks! Will try sticking some plants in front of it to reduce the intake..
