Well to start I've had a tomato clown for a while which I recieved from my cousin after the nem he hosted died (bad water conditions  ). He seems very fearful of people and will rarely come out of his large hollow rock when anyone is around. I figured this was because he no longer had his nem to hide in, so I purchased a hammer coral (which I really like anyways) and I'm hoping he'll host it, but I was wondering if there was anything I could to convince him to do so. I would've just gotten him another nem, but the stock lighting on my 24g nano cube would be insufficient to keep one alive. I know there isn't a very good chance he ever will host it, but it would be great if he did :good: .

Here are a couple pics for the heck of it, these were taken with the webcam on my macbook so ignore the low quality and large glare on the tank...

Yeah, clownfish have a mind of their own, and we really can't do anything to influence their hosting decisions. Mine took up residence in my frogspawn, but I've seen some funny thing's they've hosted. Featherdusters, powerheads, zooanthids, and plenty of other wierd things. And I've seen plenty that dont bother hosting in anything...

Your hammer and brain are TOO CLOSE. Are you reading on your corals? SH

Lol, yeah just noticed that myself. You're gonna get into a stinging war that the hammer coral will likely win if you leave them that close for too long.

Actually they are at least five inches apart, in the picture they look a bit close because of the angle, but the brain is in the center of the cube and the hammer is right up front.
