Toads

I had 3 toads in my garden and pond. They left spawn in the pond which I didnt see, but did last year, in narrow strips not like frogs in clumps. Anyway about 10 days there were loads of wrigglers in the pond. Now goldfish are not supposed to like the taste so dont eat them. I saw mum toad heading back for the pond last night. All the babies have disappeared! They had no legs yet so whose had them? any ideas please!

found them. they are all back today. something must have developed to enable them to sleep under water now or they had a night on the town.

they probably went tadpole dancing.

I know it's bad, but I couldn't help myself.

are they called tadpoles if they come from toads or toadpoles or things? or what?

I think you can still call them tadpoles, but I think they are officially called polliwogs.
