when i bought my tank they sold me a filter system for a 40gallon. My tank is a 46gallon, My question is would that harm anything.
If so i was thinking about getting a additional 10gallon filter sysytem. Would running two filter be hareful or a waste , or is my 40gallon just fine

It would probably be a waste. You'll be fine with the filter you have, just do water changes more often, and turn your filter to the highest setting. (My 46 gallon has a large filter suitable for a 60 gallon tank, but you should be fine with yours).

You never can have too much filteration, get another. I run 2 filters on all my tanks.

Still do you water changes, but get another one

agreed. all my tanks have at least double the filtration capacity for the tank!!!

Hi Sarkis :)

If you have an AquaClear or another filter with enough room to stuff in a bit of filter floss, you can increase the biological filtration capacity by doing that. The added surface will give the beneficial bacteria that much more to cling to inside your filter.
