Hello, im new to these fourms and have a couple questions i need answers for

I have a 75 gallon tank, When i bought it they had 70 gallon aquaclear filters on sale for $10 i figured hey why not get 2? But is haveing 140 gallons worth of flitration to much? Also would a dual bio wheel filter be worth switching to?

My other problem is i had a full grown female sword tail a couple weeks after i got it it grew a tail and became amale my problem is its tail is short and just not normal it varies in width going and is kinda like a pigs tail not straight, will it still breed? if not im going to get rid of it, it goes after the 2 females but its the only male so i mysewell replace it im buried in fry from guppys and playts but no swords:(

Also i could use some tips on other fish to add

I have guppys platys swords, its kinda hard to give a number because every few days more get born then a couple weeks later there swiming with the other fish so i have idea what kinda number to put on it not to many though

1 Common pleco about 4 inches long

2 Khlui loches

Mystery Snails

1 African dwarf frog

and for plants all i have at the moment is java moss and a extremly large amount of Cabomba

First of all, welcome to the forum :)

There isn't really any such thing as 'too much' filtration as long as the flow isn't too strong for the fish and even then you can normally add a spray bar, or aim the outlet at the glass or something to slow it down.

It is quite common for some male swordtails (well, all livebearers) to be very late developing. As to whether he can breed or not I can't really say; we'd need to see a pic of him really (you can't upload pics direct from your pc to this site btw, you need to host it somewhere like photobucket first).

As for other fish, well, there are so many to choose from it's difficult to give you specific examples. Matching the fish to your water is best, so what's the pH and hardness of yours?
It's a good idea to have a go round a few LFS and have a look at what's available, writing down the names of anything you like the look of and then coming home and researching them yourself either online or asking here, as not all shops are great at giving the correct info on their fish!

Dimensions of aquarium? ..but to be honest, that filter doesn't look like it would do a good job on a 75 gallon tank, so two is probably a good idea. What would be worth switching to is a decent external filter.

Yes, if course it will spawn. You can sex livebearers by looking at their anal fins: males have gonopodiums, females have real anal fins.

Your stocking is a bit odd.. also platys and swordtails may be able to crossbreed, but if a swordtail male mates with a female platy, she probably will die during birthing. You should consider getting another 4-8 khuli loaches, they do better in large groups.

I've had male livebearers that had deformed gonopodia and weren't able to mate properly, and one red long-finned lyre-tail that had a gonopdium that was....um...too large  lol.
