Does anyone know how often you should add these to the substrate, all it says on the packet is how much to put in there, put nothing about when to add more, would it be every month, 6 months?

Every 6 months or so will be about right (@ approx. 25 degrees C)

Mine is set at 24, had them in for about a week and have seen a great difference in growth since adding them.

The temperature condition is because the little pellets in the capsules release nutrients at different rates depending on the ambient temperature. If you were to put them in your hanging baskets or pond plants they'd probably last up to 12 months
