Hi guys,

Just wanted a bit of advice, interested in getting a new skimmer (moneys a bit tight at the mo, so not looking to get the best - if I could I would prob get a deltec)

Having looked at ebay, I've found atleast 2 skimmer currently in my price-range.
But was wondering if they are any good, or would I prob end up using it as a paperweight?

My aquariums is currently FOWLR (but hoping to get a few bits of corals soon). I have a vision 260. So would need a skimmer type that can hang.

First one is TMC V2 600 (I know quite a few members have this)

2nd one is SeaClone. I have seen a few videos of this skimmer in action and was quite impressed with the tornado-like motion. But having read a few reviews on google, i'm not too sure now.

The V2 is a much better skimmer. Trust me, those Sea Clones will end up being paperweights....

TMC models can be a little finnicky at first, but eventually settle in to being great skimmers.

I've got a deal on a Deltec MCE600 for £100.00

Do you think its a good deal? Or a bit of an overkill for my 260lt (Vision260)

At the same time I can get a TMC v2 400 for £70.00.

An absoloute steal... And not overkill on that size tank

I'll go for that one then.

Thanks Ski
