Tmc V2 400?

hi there i've researched the two skimmers the deltec mce 300 and tmc v2 400 due to price i was urging to the v2 anyway and now they're in stock at my lfs for £90! i think im going to buy that because i think it'll be a better fit. my question is is this the best for its price? and im not paying the price of the deltec only if there is a HUGE amount of difference! also woulld the pump for the v2 fit in the compartment of a orca tl550 which is like 12cm by 7cm and miles deep!

You can get both for around half their RRP usually 2nd hand if you look round.

The V2 isnt a bad skimmer, but don pay £90 imo. Mine was brand new for £65

look for a second hand one i got my second hand v2 400 for just a tenner with everything

Thing is my mum over sees everything i do lol and she loves bran new stuff and buying it from a shop I've got the cash so don't really mind might go for the upgrade to the v2 600 lol I was told to stay away from the red sea prism am I right Ill look round now to see any good deals on it

You are right yes, the Red Sea Prism has a very bad reputation and for more than one reason.

ok thank you has anyone tryed my combo of a v2 on a orca tl550 before if so i would like to know if it fits

Another vote for the V2 here. Having used plenty of low end deltecs (upto the MCE 600), aquamedics, V2s, Tunze etc. I think the V2 are the best value for money and do a pretty decent job. Only drawback is that you need a pump in the tank that takes up space but so does the aquamedic.
