I have a question, I have a tiretrack eel and I feed him frozing beefheart, that comes in cubes. This seems to be the only thing he will eat had to soak it in garlic juice the first time to get him to eat. I'm going to get some other frozing food and soak them in garlic to see if he will eat them. My question is when I feed him beefheart all my fish eat this, I just read in another post that fish shouldn't be fed beefheart. Is this true and if so what should I feed them instead. As of right now I also have frozing plankton and brine shrimp. Also have falkes but none of my fish are big fans of this. So basically I'm asking if beefheart is ok to feed aad if not what would be a good thing to feed them. Thanks guys!! :good:

When we feed my BGK we usually drop a cube of brine shrimp in there, my fish all flock to this, then a few finutes later we put in the brine shrimp for my BGK. Maybe a similar thing will work for you.

Beefheart contains fats that are not good for fish.
beefheart is an excellent food if fed sparingly in addition to more normal aquatic foods.

I personally would try weaning him off beefheart and start on chopped earthworms/prawns and bloodworm

Ditto allt he above. Starve him for a few days if hes currently well fed, and then give the worms/prawn/bloodworm a go - a varied diet is better for any fish.

I have a question about the earthworms. Could I just go to WalMart or some were that sell earthworms as (fishing bait) or do I need to catch them outside myself. I don't know if the ones that you would buy at the store would have been raised on chemicals that would hurt the fish. Also seeing how its winter time I'm not even sure they sell earthworms right now. Any suggestings were I could purchase some. Thanks for your replies guys!! :good:
