Tips on new 4 gallon

I just set up a small 4 gallon does anyone have any tips or should I just let it grow out I was thinking of adding some red floaters and hydrocotyle triparita

Thats pretty small. Most plants will outgrow that quickly.

Yeah I kinda want that to happen I love the looks of plants just overgrown and just looks really nice but if the plants grow to much I can trim them.

The substrate is aqua soil

If you have an HOB filter, make sure that it does not push the floaters around. It stresses them out

K if they move around to much I’ll put the flow down lower thanks

Do you think I should take out all the hair grass and swap it out with Monte Carlo I think Monte Carlo looks better

I've heard that monte Carlo has a hard time in tanks without CO2. You should try Pearl weed if you want something different.

Yeah I’ve been looking for that but I can’t ever find it that what I was going to go with at the front but no one had it and it grows so quick I’ll keep a look out and I I find some do you think I would take the Monte Carlo and hair grass out.

Yeah or I can put the pearl weed up the back I might leave it as it is but if I find pearl weed somwere I might put it in might not.

Oh hmmmm that might be why mine looks like it has been dumped in mud then dragged through a hedge backwards...
