I was at Petsmart last night and noticed a tank of dwarf puffers -- they were quite large compared to mine -- they were probably 1" to 1.5" and very round. At first I thought perhaps they were mislabeled or something, but I looked at them closely and they certainly appeared to be DPs.

I got my dwarf puffers back in June, and they're quite small -- about the size of my thumbnail. They were teeny when I got them, and haven't really grown much (except a bit fatter, but not longer really). When I bought them, the LFS employee commented about how they were, "just tiny babies". I don't know if I have males or females either because neither has a brown stripe and they're much to small to even attempt to see eye-wrinkles ... so I guess either they're both female or haven't reached sexual maturity yet.

They're certainly both active and eat quite well, but I guess I was surprised by how big they COULD get and was wondering how long it takes them to get that large, on average?

How often do you feed them? I only ask because I was told to feed twice a day. My DP hasn't grown much but like yours is round. He eats about 2-3 bloodworms at each feed plus snails twice a week and brineshrimp as a treat once a week
